A Dandenong job-seeker service will benefit from a $620,000 boost.
On Thursday 30 August, Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams announced the State Government cash for Chisholm’s Skills and Jobs Centre.
The service helps more than 200 job seekers each month to access skill development, job readiness, and training and career support to find employment.
The Dandenong Skills and Jobs Centre team also delivers career and job-ready lectures at high schools and has developed job-ready training in pre-apprenticeship courses.
“Whether it’s helping a local parent find a job, assisting an early school leaver back into training or just helping someone create a resume, the Dandenong Skills and Jobs Centre has become a vital piece of our community,” Ms Williams said.
There are 30 Skills and Jobs Centres across the state.
