A donated playground is bringing smiles to kids and their parents in Springvale.
Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre searched for a new home for one of its playgrounds last year and found Friends of Refugees.
It was installed in the food court four years earlier but made way for a custom-built kids’ play space.
Friends of Refugees founder and CEO Sri Samy said volunteers, mothers and children were all grateful for the donation because the children now had so many fun things to do.

Friends of Refugees has become a central source of first-line relief for people seeking asylum in Melbourne’s South-East.
