Three arrested over series of robberies

 Three men were arrested after a series of armed robberies in a night in Dandenong.

A bus driver was allegedly robbed by a male, possibly armed with a weapon, on Cleeland Street about 7.40pm on 24 August, police say.

The accused robber and three other males fled with a small amount of stolen cash.

Ten minutes later, a male – possibly armed – allegedly entered a house on Ann Street and demanded an occupant’s phone.

The phone was handed over, and the male fled with another male, polcice say.

About 8pm, a man sitting in his car was allegedly approached by four males.

One of the males got in the front seat and demanded the victim’s keys and wallet.

The victim ran to a nearby premises and was approached by a male possibly armed with a weapon.

The victim’s phone was stolen, according to police.

None of the victims were injured.

A 22-year-old Dandenong man, a 20-year-old Dandenong North man and a 20-year-old Dandenong man were arrested by police in Close Avenue a short time later.

They were remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
