Flooded Dandenong region roads remain closed

By Cameron Lucadow-Wells

THREE flooded roads in the Greater Dandenong region remain closed.

According to VicRoads’ traffic alerts website, access to Glasscocks Road remains temporarily closed from Frankston-Dandenong Road, Bangholme since Friday morning’s downpour.

Taylors Road between Thompsons Road in Lyndhurst and Ballarto Road in Skye are shut to traffic. Wedge Road in Sandhurst is also closed. The status of the roads have not been updated since last Friday.

A flood warning remains in effect for Hallam South Road, Hallam since Friday afternoon. A flood alert and road closure on Heatherton Road, Endeavour Hills has been lifted.

A VicRoads spokeswoman said that the roads should be assumed closed if their status was unchanged.

She said VicRoads may not be privy to the status of closed local roads controlled by municipal councils.
