Springvale South woman assaulted by intruder

A woman was indecently and physically assaulted by a male intruder in her Springvale South home on Monday last week.

Dandenong sexual offences and child abuse investigation team detectives said the man entered her Gwent Street home about 1.10pm and attempted to sexually assault her.

The 35-year-old woman, who reportedly had a minor stroke from the incident, screamed and the man fled on foot north on Lansor Road.

He is described as of African appearance, in his late 30s-early 40s, about 180 centimetres, of medium build and with short dark hair and dark eyes.

He was wearing dark pants and a red loose-fitting T-shirt.
