Man charged after Dandenong motorcycle collision 

Major collision investigation unit detectives have charged a man over a smash involving a car and a motorcycle in Dandenong on Friday night. 

The collision took place at the intersection of the South Gippsland Highway and Princes Highway about 9.50pm. The 33-year-old Springvale male motorcyclist was taken to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries and yesterday remained in a critical condition. 

A 22-year-old Pakenham man has been charged with negligently causing serious injury, failing to stop and failing to render assistance. He has been bailed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday).
