Dandenong stabbing: Man hospitalised with life-threatening injuries

By CAMERON LUCADOU-WELLS

A MAN was fighting for his life after being stabbed in the back in a shopping centre car park in Dandenong yesterday afternoon.

Police say the 39-year-old Dandenong man was stabbed with a knife by an unknown man after an argument between the pair escalated to a physical fight in the Dandenong Plaza car park in McRae Street about 4.20pm.

He underwent surgery on his ‘‘life threatening’’ injuries at The Alfred hospital last night.

A hospital spokesman said the victim was in a serious but stable condition this morning.

Dandenong CIU detectives have urged witnesses to help with their investigation.
