Police hunt brazen burglars

By CASEY NEILL

POLICE are hunting the men behind several brazen burglaries in Dandenong South.
Investigators believe three to four men cut a large hole in cyclone fencing to enter a factory on Gaine Road about 1.45am on Saturday 25 January.
The group rifled through several cars, stealing tools, rolls of copper wire and scrap metal before leaving about 4am in a white van parked in an adjacent car park.
The burglars struck the same business again about 12.30am the next evening, again rifling through cars before hooking up a trailer and woodchipper to a Nissan Patrol four-wheel drive and stealing all three items.
Investigators believe the same group is responsible for a similar burglary at a factory on nearby Apoinga Street between 24 and 27 January. They stole a Honda Prelude and trailer.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au with any information.
