Safety in the circuit

RESIDENTS will be able to hear about efforts to improve community safety in Dandenong at the Dandenong Retail Traders Association (DRTA) function on Tuesday 6 August.
City of Greater Dandenong, Victoria Police and others work closely on the issue.
The council’s community engagement officer Lee Robson and Inspector Bruce Kitchen will speak at the Ramada Encore Hotel, 50 McCrae Street, Dandenong, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
They’ll cover developments in promoting wellbeing and safety in and around the municipality, including 13 CCTV cameras on their way, graffiti removal programs, Safe City forums at Dandenong Railway Station and planning for the new Civic Square in Walker Street as part of the new municipal building.
“I encourage all retailers to attend to learn more about this important subject,” DRTA chairwoman Glenys Cooper said.
Tea and coffee is supplied and there are opportunities for networking.
For information about the function or the DRTA call chairwoman Glenys Cooper on 0417 394 722 or 9794 9397.
The DRTA’s mission is to promote retail business in Central Dandenong by providing information, networking and access to federal, state and local authorities.
