Dandenong family claims Lotto prize

AFTER a week of mystery, a family has claimed a winning TattsLotto ticket from a Dandenong agency.

The winners, of Dandenong, announced themselves today after winning a $494,421.71 share of the September 1 first-division prize pool.

The winning woman said she had forgotten to check her ticket for more than a week after the draw.

“It was just sitting in the car this whole time, until my partner said to me, ‘Did you ever check that lotto ticket?’

“We’ve only been playing TattsLotto for four months so we never expected we might have won.”

The family plans to buy a new home and car — and to follow-through with wedding plans.

The winning entry was bought from Lucky Strike Lotto at Richies Supermarket, 141-145 Lonsdale Street in Dandenong.

It was the second big lottery win in two weeks in Greater Dandenong.

A 31-year-old scored a $427,352.79 winning ticket as a birthday gift bought from Million Dollar Lotto in Keysborough the weekend before.
