Keysborough factory fire 'not suspicious'

A FACTORY fire in Keysborough last Friday morning has been declared non-suspicious.

Detective Senior Constable Tim Sullivan said the blaze was triggered by an electrical fault in a dipping tank at the Venture DMG chroming factory at Kirkham Road about 6am.

CFA crews from six stations fought the fire for about an hour. The fire was contained to less than half the building and caused $750,000 damage.

Five workers were evacuated without injury.
