Rangers success

Dandenong Rangers D-league women won their second straight title, beating Nunawading Spectres 42-38 at Nunawading Stadium in the Basketball Victoria D-League women’s grand final on Saturday night.

The Rangers were by Jacinta Vandenberg, who had 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Bridget Deery had nine points.

The Rangers D-League men played in their grand final against Sandringham at Dandenong Stadium yesterday.

The game finished after the Weekly went to print. The Rangers men’s and women’s teams in the South East Australian Basketball League will also begin their play-off campaigns this weekend.

Games and venues will be announced today.
