Bollywood Festival: Song and dance

COME behind the shops at Sunday’s Bollywood Festival and watch the colourful and interesting activities on the centre stage.

Enjoy dance and musical performances by the Bhangra Dancers, Fijian Meke, Dhool, DJ Baba, belly dancers, Tabla, sitar players, African drumming, MC Aziim and Nalihi. Colourful clothing will be the order of the day.

The attire includes saris, salwaar kameez, Punjabi outfits and alternative clothing on stage and in a parade. Visitors will listen to the sounds of the tabla players and dancers will weave their way along the footpaths.

Take a moment to stop at the chai cart for some freshly brewed chai, a refreshing drink, or let the henna artist tattoo your hands with traditional symbols.
