SICK of crowded trains, constant delays and inefficiencies in public transport?
The Public Transport Users’ Association is this week calling for residents in Greater Dandenong to attend its next meeting on 7 August, starting 7pm at the Springvale council offices.
Residents who use public transport run the group with the aim of lobbying the State Government and transport contractors for bus and rail improvements in the Greater Dandenong and Casey regions.
Branch convenor June Whitton told Star the group had successfully lobbied Eastlink authorities, which are upgrading Noble Park Station, to allow it to cater for people with disabilities.
The group is now campaigning for the new Lyndhurst station to be built before its planned date of 2012.
