Cop car crash passenger charged

THE passenger of a car that crashed into a parked divisional van outside Dandenong Police Station has been charged with reckless conduct causing serious injury.
Nabin Chaulagain, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of reckless conduct endangering life, two counts of reckless conduct causing serious injury and four counts of criminal damage.
He appeared in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court last week.
On 21 March, the car’s driver Saravanan Rajasakaram faced the court on charges including conduct endangering life over the incident.
The court heard that police officers were metres away from the collision in Langhorne Street on 20 March, preparing for a morning pre-work run.
The two co-accused were taken to The Alfred hospital after the crash.
