Three robberies on one day

THREE service stations in the local area were robbed on the same day last week, with a knife and syringe among the weapons used to threaten staff.
A man armed with a knife entered the Coles Express Service Station in Hallam about 4.20am last Saturday and demanded cash from the attendant.
The staff member handed over money from the cash register.
Soon after a man with a kitchen knife and a syringe entered the BP Service Station on Princes Highway, Doveton.
Police said he demanded a single cigarette from the service station attendant, who refused.
The attendant then locked the service station doors so the man could not escape.
But police said the attendant unlocked the doors after the man began to hit them.
The third robbery for the day occurred at the Quix Service Station on Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, Narre Warren.
Police were called to the business about 11.30pm after an unarmed man demanded cash from the console operator.
The victim handed over a small amount of cash.
