Free family fun
CITY of Greater Dandenong mayor Jim Memeti will host a family fun day instead of the usual mayoral ball.
There’ll be dancers and drummers, face painting, balloon art, a native animal display, tree planting workshops, a sausage sizzle, fresh fruit and a visit from a Dandenong CFA fire truck.
Despicable Me 2 will be shown on the big screen at 3pm.

Dandenong Show
THE show is in its 143rd year and will feature carnival rides, animal competitions, a fireworks display and more.
There’ll be a truck pull event and motor bike stunt shows, classic car displays and roving entertainment.

Wallara Concert Spectacular
DANDENONG support service Wallara’s annual concert will celebrate people with different abilities.

October exhibitions
ART on display at Heritage Hill will include digital prints based on geometric constructivism and an exploration of the lotus flower and its symbolism of healing in oil paintings, acrylic and pastel on canvas, and prints on sari silk.
There’ll also be photographs from young women from the African Foundation.
