Stole car and petrol

POLICE today (Friday) released images of a man they allege stole a car in Dandenong that he then used in a petrol drive-off.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives believe he posed as a prospective buyer and drove a black Holden Maloo ute from a Lonsdale Street dealership between 2.20pm and 2.45pm on 17 November.
The same vehicle was used to steal petrol from a service station in Boundary Road, Mordialloc, at 12.50am on 30 November.
The man police are looking for is Caucasian in appearance, about 170 centimetres tall and aged in his late teens to early twenties with an average build.
During the petrol theft he was wearing a white jacket, a light-coloured top, dark jeans and a dark hat with a white motif.
