TAMILS have rung in their new year in Springvale with music, dance and more.
The Victorian Tamil Cultural Association hosted its 24th annual Thai Thirunaal Thamilar Thirunaal on 17 January.
The Tamil New Year starts on the first day of the Tamil month, Thai, which falls on 14 January.
The event also celebrated the Harvest Festival of Tamils, which shows gratitude to the sun for rice crops harvested in December and January.
