FACE of road rage

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

POLICE have released the image of a man who allegedly pulled a shotgun on a motorcyclist in a terrifying road rage confrontation in Dandenong South earlier this month.
A detective said the 33-year-old victim, from Bonbeach, was riding along Greens Road between 8am and 8.30am on Monday 17 August when a man driving a black Holden Clubsport cut the motorcyclist off as he approached Hammond Road.
When the rider honked his horn at the car driver the offender swerved several times at the motorcyclist and hit his bike, causing damage to the motorbike’s indicator and the handlebars.
The Holden driver also allegedly tried to use his car to push the motorcyclist into traffic.
When both drivers soon stopped at a red light at the intersection of Greens Road and Dandenong-Frankston Road, the offender went to grab at the motorcyclist and then pointed what appeared to be the barrel of a shotgun at the victim out of his car window.
The motorcyclist rode off and the car driver was last seen heading south on Greens Road and on to the South Gippsland Highway, towards Cranbourne.
