Facebook party ends in free for all

A TEEN was knocked unconscious when a brawl broke out at a ‘Facebook party’ in Springvale.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said officers at 11.18pm on Friday 30 October attended an out-of-control party at Springvale Reserve, corner Erickson and Newcomen roads.
He said the party had been advertised on Facebook and a fight involving a large crowd of youths spilled onto the street.
“Numerous people were hit by flying bottles and other projectiles,” he said.
Det Sgt Kirton said the crowd dispersed when police arrived.
He said at least four people were assaulted and robbed of their mobile phones.
Officers found one victim, an 18-year-old Glen Waverley man, unconscious.
A 20-year-old Doveton man suffered lacerations to his head, a 15-year-old boy from Blackburn suffered abrasions and bruising, a 15-year-old Mulgrave boy suffered facial bruising and a 17-year-old girl from Oakleigh South reported minor injuries.
Greater Dandenong CIU investigations into the affray and robbery are ongoing.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
