Crunch time for the best Anzac bikkies

Danednong Show

THE search is on for the best Anzac bikkie at this year’s Dandenong Show.
A $200 prize is on offer for the biscuits that take the cake.
Art and craft pavilion chairwoman Margaret Weightman said the competition would commemorate the Anzac Centenary.
“That’s why we’re doing it, to bring into people’s minds what went on in the First World War,” she said.
What makes a winning biscuit?
“It’s texture, it’s how they come out in size and that they’re not all over the place,” Ms Weightman said.
“It’s a visual thing as well as having a taste. It’s up to the judge – every judge is different of course.”
Dandenong-Cranbourne RSL Sub-Branch president John Wells will award the $200 prize at 2pm on Saturday 14 November in the art and craft pavilion.
