STUDENTS at St John’s Regional College ended the term with a Battle of the Bands contest.
The competition ran over three heats and a final and was organised by the Year 12 fund-raising committee, with proceeds from entry fees going towards the LaSallian Foundation.
Eight bands participated in the contest, while teachers gave up their lunchtimes to judge the bands on song choice, audience reaction and performance.
The band Bigmouth won the competition where students raised over $300.
Teachers then took to the stage and played several songs, winning over the crowd.
The school will follow up the successful event with various fund-raising activities in term four.
