More Barker than bite

AMERICAN comedian Arj Barker is among Melbourne International Comedy Festival performers hitting the Drum Theatre stage.
Arj will bring his observational stand-up show to Dandenong at 8pm on Thursday 31 March.
This 90-minute show is suitable for ages 15-plus and tickets are $40.
Younger audiences will find laughs at Kid’s Party Confidential with Sean Murphy at 1.30pm on Tuesday 5 April.
The 60-minute show is aimed at kids aged 5 to 12 years – and their parents – and will be followed by a 50-minute play and create workshop. Show tickets are $15 and the workshop is an extra $5.
Sean will return with a show for grown-ups at 6pm on Tuesday 5 April.
Party Tricks is a Free for All Tuesday event and features all the dirt on the children’s entertainment industry.
The award-winning Trash Test Dummies will take a fresh look at the household wheelie bin and host one-hour workshops in circus skills after their two shows.
They’ll hit the stage at 1.30pm on Wednesday 6 April, with the workshop at 3.15pm, and 10.30am on Thursday 7 April, with a 12.15pm workshop.
Show tickets are $15 and the workshops are an extra $5.
Greater Dandenong’s own Diana Nguyen will bring Naked to the stage, peeling back the layers of life in Australia, Vietnamese style.
Her show is at 7.30pm on Thursday 21 April and tickets are priced from $18 to $32.
