Train stranded near Dandy

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

A V/LINE train full of passengers has been stranded near Dandenong station for more than three hours due to an overhead powerline fault.
Passenger Sierra Rasten has tweeted that passengers were still waiting to be evacuated from the train just east of Frankston-Dandenong Road after three and a half hours.
“Waiting for person to arrive to ensure level crossing behind us is safe to cross.”
Meanwhile, inbound V/Line and Metro Trains services are being replaced by buses.
A Metro Trains spokesman said trains were replaced between Cranbourne-Dandenong and Berwick-Dandenong.
“We’ve got 30 buses either in operation or en route.”
