Lunch wishes come true

A footy grand final lunch raised $12,000 for charity, thanks to Greater Dandenong businesses.
More than 200 guests attended the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce’s 15th Grand Final Charity Lunch at Sandhurst Club on 28 September.
On Wednesday 14 December chamber vice president Roy Sanderson presented a cheque for $3000 to Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation’s Gill Wolstenholme to help people experiencing hardship to access education.
He handed Make-A-Wish Australia’s Lawrie Leeman a $9000 cheque to grant wishes to children aged three to 18 who have a life-threatening medical condition.
Mr Leeman said the lunch had already raised $74,000 for the foundation over the past seven years.
