Keysborough students combined the classic and modern in a three-show run of their senior school musical.
Haileybury presented The Drowsy Chaperone on Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 May.
It captured the best of 1920s and 1930s musicals but added a modern storyline.
Director Stewart Bell said it was a rare thing as a teacher to have the perfect group of performers
for a production.
“But I have been privileged with the cast of The Drowsy Chaperone,” he said.
He said the cast included an outstanding chorus to complement its wonderful leads.
“Such was the abundance of talent I have cast two performers for the one role on three
occasions,” he said.
“Our band has been challenged but its members have more than risen to the call.
“The brass section is spectacular.”
