Dragon Boat Chinese Festival Show

To celebrate 2018 Dragon Boat Chinese Festival, the River Chinese Band will present a free concert.

The River Chinese Band focuses on Chinese arts and music instruments through training and music appreciation.

– The Castle, Hemmings Park, Princes Highway, Dandenong. Saturday 2 June, 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Greater Dandenong Environment Group

This community group formed in 1990 to increase local awareness about environmental issues.

It meets at Dandenong Wetlands on the first Sunday of every month. Activities include water watch and bird watching.

Tai Chi Qi Gong

This gentle exercise can help to maintain strength, flexibility and balance.

The classes are open to all fitness levels. No equipment is necessary, just comfortable clothes and shoes.

– Meet in the court yard outside Springvale Neighbourhood House, 46-50 Queens Avenue, Springvale. Sundays, 9am to 10am and 10am to 11am. $2 per session. Call 9548 3972 for more information.

Odile major exhibition

It will run across four Dandenong venues and explore dark and light, evil and innocence.

Each of the 11 artists involved in the multi-venue display will explore ideas around good and evil and performance and identity.

It is best experienced as a self-guided walking tour.

– Garnar Lane Lightboxes, Garnar Lane. All day, every day. Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre, corner Walker and Robinson streets. Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, and Saturday, 11am to 3pm.

Family fun at the library

Children and their carers can enjoy Lego, chess, puzzles and games.

Playing games together can improve literacy, numeracy, spatial awareness, socially appropriate behaviour and fair play.

This event is free and no booking is required.
