Keysy bus promise

A new bus route servicing schools and shopping centres near Chapel Road, Keysborough has been pledged by the state Labor party.

Martin Pakula, the incumbent ALP candidate for Keysborough, said the exact route would be determined in consultation with locals.

It follows his government recently installing the first bus route through new housing estates in Keysborough’s south.

The second route is part of a $10 million pledge for new bus services in growing suburbs and regions in Victoria.

“I’ve listened carefully to Keysborough South residents and I’m pleased to deliver this second bus route to meet the community’s growing transport needs,” Mr Pakula said.

“The Liberals promise big, but all they really deliver is cuts – cuts to health, cuts to education and cuts to public

transport.”

Liberal candidate Darrel Taylor said the “only press release” that Mr Pakula should release is explaining why he and other MPs “under investigation for fraud and extortion will not co-operate with Victoria Police over the Red Shirts Rorts”.

“It is unacceptable that the member for Keysborough believes he should not be held to the same standards and expectations as any other Victorian.”
