TWO MEN have stolen a safe loaded with cash from a Dandenong solarium.
Police this week released security footage of the two men who broke into the Body Bronze Suntan Salon in Dandenong Plaza overnight on 29 and 30 April in hope that someone can identify or give information leading to their arrest.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Freeman said the two men broke into the salon by throwing a concrete pit cover through the shop’s exterior.
The men were captured on both Dandenong Plaza and store surveillance footage as they stole a safe from the salon that police said was full of cash.
The two men are described as being between 25 and 35 years old, medium builds, short dark-coloured hair, and both tall.
AN 18-YEAR-OLD Dandenong North resident was slashed on the forearm after refusing a doorknocker’s request to use his toilet and be given money for a taxi.
Police said the stabbing weapon had a sharp edge, but they were not certain whether it was a knife or another sharp object.
The incident occurred between 9.45am and 10am on 20 April at a property in Halton Road.
Police said a man believed to be unknown to the victim knocked on the door and asked the 18-year-old if he could use the toilet and have money to catch a taxi.
Police said the 18-year-old refused the man’s requests, and that the man then slashed the teen across the top of his forearm causing a 7cm gash that required immediate medical attention.
The man then fled on foot.
The attacker is described as male, about 182cm tall, solid build, early to mid 20s, of Southern European appearance, dressed in black and wearing a black baseball cap.

One punched the other in the jaw, causing it to break.

The Doveton man was taken to Dandenong Hospital for treatment.

The trailer has a registration of L3900.
