Man, 20, charged over shop thefts

POLICE investigating thefts from supermarkets to the value of $3000 have charged a 20-year-old Dandenong man.
Dandenong Police this week said they had been investigating thefts on five supermarkets within the suburbs of Dandenong, Springvale and Cranbourne.
This week they arrested a Dandenong man and charged him with multiple counts of theft.
The man is due to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday).

POLICE have interviewed a Doveton teenager after a robbery at Dandenong Train Station on Friday 8 June.
Dandenong Police said a 16-year-old Mulgrave youth was waiting at the station’s upper level when another teenager approached him, punched him in the face and stole his Sony Walkman personal music player, about 10.30pm.
Police arrested and interviewed a 15-year-old Doveton youth.
