NOT-for-profit community and cultural organisations in Greater Dandenong can access a business mentoring program this month.
The Community Mentoring Program, which starts on 31 March, is a joint initiative between the City of Greater Dandenong and the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce.
The program is in its second year and covers topics including, exploring and developing understanding of your organisation or business, developing skills to improve viability and making changes to current operations and completion of tangible outcomes.
Greater Dandenong mayor Youhorn Chea said the program offered a chance to improve management and business skills for the future success of community and cultural organisations, individual artists and performers.
“These organisations and individuals provide valuable services to the community, so it is fitting we support them where possible,” he said.
The program’s day sessions will be held on 31 March, 12 May and 28 July.
Mentors include business improvement specialist Rabi Gunaratnam, telemarketing and call centre specialist Paul Arztenhofer and human resource specialist Peter Helmore.
