POLICE investigating a machete attack that left a 20-year-old man in a serious condition and requiring surgery have charged two Greater Dandenong men.
A 19-year-old Noble Park man, Libinot Musa, faces 16 charges including attempted murder, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing serious injury, affray, threat to kill, and conduct endangering life.
A 20-year-old Dandenong man, Burak Guden, faces 19 charges similar to the 19-year-old.
The two men were remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The arrests and charges follow an investigation by police after an incident in Murrumbeena on Sunday at 4.45am.
The incident, which occurred between the occupants of two vehicles, involved a machete, and resulted in one 20-year-old Endeavour Hills man receiving minor cuts to his arm, and another 20-year-old Endeavour Hills man being taken to hospital in a serious condition and requiring surgery.
