Lifeline lottery

THE operator of Dandenong Hospital has launched a multimillion-dollar prize lottery in an effort to raise funds for medical equipment.
Southern Health, which operates the Monash Medical Centre as well as Dandenong Hospital, is inviting people to participate in the Home Lottery to win one of 3880 prizes up for grabs, with the top prize being a Glen Waverley home valued at $1 million.
The lottery is expected to raise more than $1 million for the two hospitals.
Southern Health chief executive Linda Sorrell said the lottery offered great incentives for people to purchase a ticket and support the hospitals.
“The lottery is a key plank in our fundraising strategy for 2006 and provides the community with the opportunity to win fabulous prizes while supporting two of Victoria’s busiest hospitals,” she said.
Prizes included in the $3.6 million cache include a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a BMW sports car, 20 worldwide holidays to exotic destinations, plasma televisions, iPods, outdoor furniture and much more.
Tickets are $100 each and can be ordered at Monash Medical Centre or Dandenong Hospital.
Early-bird entry dates close on 1 June to be eligible for more prizes, and the final date of entry to the draw is 15 June. For more information visit www.mdhomelottery .com.au.
