HAS it been tough? “Hell, yeah!”
Are you worn out? “Hell, yeah!”
That was the response from Elissa Tilney of Knoxfield on Monday night after she belted it out with former champion boxer and Noble Park resident Matt Ropis.
Mr Ropis recently started a women’s boxing club at the Noble Park Community Centre and he said his six female students had made great progress.
“All of the girls have lost a couple of kilograms and they have all done extremely well,” he said.
“Some of them could not even skip before they came here but now they are all adapting to it really well and I am really happy with them. They are all really trying and sometimes if they hit me terribly hard they have a bit of a giggle.”
Suzanne Trajanoski, 19, of North Dandenong, said she has fallen in love with boxing and now hoped to reach a competitive standard.
