DANDENONG completed its pre-finals build-up with 23-point victory over Warrnambool in the Big V competition on Saturday night.
The Rangers’ victory was dominant, led by Lester Strong with 35 points and Simon Conn who scored 33 points from limited court time after returning from a knee injury.
Brent Hobba was also in good nick on the night with 20 points and 20 rebounds, with the Dandenong side hitting top form as the business end of the season approaches.
Finals start this weekend with Dandenong going in as the underdogs but with a good chance of upsetting the top sides.
The Rangers will play top side Sandringham at 7pm in this Saturday’s semi-final at the Sandringham Basketball Stadium, while Dandenong’s Youth League men’s team will play Knox in their semi-final at the Dandenong Basketball Stadium this Saturday at 8pm.
