Local firm, global scale

NOBLE Park’s Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (CFCL) is a growing company commercialising new technology on a global scale.
The concept and science behind CFCL originated at the CSIRO in Melbourne nearly 20 years ago.
CFCL develops and commercialises fuel cell technology for the energy market. A fuel cell is the device that very efficiently generates direct current electricity from hydrogen rich fuels through an electrochemical reaction.
The company has made significant steps in increasing the cell power output while reducing the size of the fuel cell system.
CFCL has been testing their fuel cell systems in a variety of countries around the world, including France, Germany, The Netherlands, the UK and Japan.
CFCL will meet future demand through the Noble Park ‘pilot’ manufacturing plant, where the initial pilot fuel cell was developed, and through a German manufacturing plant which is currently under construction.
The company currently employs over 100 people.
