A SPRINGVALE South man was arrested on the weekend over armed robberies committed in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs during April.
Detectives from Glen Waverley Embona Task Force arrested Kent Patrick Farenas, 32, on Saturday night.
He faced an out of session’s court hearing that evening and was remanded in custody to face the Melbourne Magistrates ’ Court on Monday.
He has been charged with 10 counts of armed robbery and two of attempted armed robbery.
Most of the offences are alleged to have occurred at convenience stores within the eastern suburbs including Glen Waverley, Blackburn and Mulgrave.
On Monday he was remanded in custody to reappear 26 July.
