THE Springvale Library is hosting an event to encourage parents to read to their babies from birth.
A Babies Love Books-themed baby bounce event for the Vietnamese community will be held tomorrow (20 August) at 2pm.
The bilingual event is part of the State Government’s $2.1 million Young Readers Program.
Program ambassador and multi-award winning children’s author Jeanette Rowe will be a special guest.
The program, which aims to assist children in fostering a love for books, is a partnership between the State Library of Victoria, the Victorian Department of Education, Early Childhood Development and the Municipal Association for Victoria.
