51 years in Australia

Uta Wohl has used dyed yarns to create woven images that share the memories she’s made since arriving in Australia from Germany 51 years ago.

Me and My Dad: Energy

What is energy? Participants in this workshop will explore nine different types of energy and discover how all energy is connected to answer this question.
The program is designed for children aged seven to 11 years old and an accompanying parent or carer.

Learn to lion dance

The lion dance is a traditional Chinese dance performed on big occasions, like Chinese New Year, for good luck.

Heartlands

Since 2010, Ames Australia has staged the Heartlands Art Project to increase opportunities for artists from a refugee background.
This year’s exhibition illustrates the journeys, hopes and dreams of refugees and asylum seekers.
