Dawn services to honour comrades

ANZAC Day commemorations will see hundreds march to honour the fallen in Greater Dandenong over the next week.
Noble Park RSL will hold a service at 11am on Sunday 21 April at the memorial park adjacent to the Heatherton Road RSL, following a march from 10.30am. Refreshments in the main lounge will follow at 11.30am.
Also on 21 April, Springvale RSL will hold a march from the corner of Springvale Road and Union Grove at 10am and a service at the cenotaph outside Springvale Town Hall about 10.30am.
On Anzac Day itself, Thursday 25 April, Dandenong’s Vietnamese veterans will hold a service at the Vietnam War Memorial of Victoria at Dandenong RSL at 9am, and at 10.30am will march with those representing other conflicts to the main service at 11am.
The dawn service is at 6am at the Pillars of Freedom, at the west end of Clow Street, Dandenong.
City of Greater Dandenong residents can reserve a seat on free, specially-scheduled buses to the Shrine of Remembrance for the Anzac Day dawn service.
Buses will depart from Dandenong via Noble Park and Springvale.
Bookings close on Monday 22 April. Call Ventura Charter on 9575 4823 between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
