POLICE have charged a 21-year-old Meadow Heights man with attempted murder over a hit-run collision in Noble Park on Tuesday morning.
Police said a car struck a pedestrian walking south along the eastern footpath on Chandler Road just before 3.30am on 21 May.
The 27-year-old Noble Park man was thrown onto the road about 50 metres away. A nearby resident dragged him up onto the nature strip, and he was taken to The Alfred with serious injuries.
Police yesterday (Wednesday) laid charges of attempted murder, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, intentionally cause serious injury, intentionally cause injury, drive manner dangerous, theft, criminal damage, excessive speed, drive speed dangerous and fail to stop on request.
