DRINK drivers will be in the sights of Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol officers on Melbourne Cup Day.
Senior Sergeant Scott Roberts said his team would have as many cars as possible out on Tuesday afternoon.
“It’s a high alcohol risk time as far as the roads are concerned,” he said.
“Anybody deciding to get behind the wheel of a car, we’ll have resources out there and we’ll be targeting drink driving.
“If they want to run the gauntlet, they’re going to risk their licences and even worse.”
