Coupe impounded, Skyline disappeared

A DOVETON teen drag raced through Noble Park at 50 kilometres over the speed limit, according to police.
Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol officers allegedly saw a black Nissan Coupe and a black Nissan Skyline racing along Princes Highway just before 3am on Sunday 15 February.
They intercepted the Coupe after detecting it travelling at 149km/h in an 80km/h zone, but were unable to catch the Skyline.
Police impounded the 19-year-old probationary driver’s car for 30 days at a cost of $777.
They expect to charge him on summons with driving at a dangerous speed and in a dangerous manner, careless driving and other probationary licence offences.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who knows the driver of the Nissan Skyline or witnessed the erratic behaviour to come forward.
