A DANDENONG manufacturer is helping Lyndale Secondary College students to reach their full potential.
Tip Top donated 22 refurbished laptops to the Dandenong North school through parent company George Western Foods’ (GWF) partnership with The Smith Family.
GWF CEO Andrew Reeves said the donation was part of the company’s Caring Everyday community program.
“We are also able to offer Lyndale students a number of opportunities to help prepare them for the world of work, including career days and mentoring throughout the year,” he said.
Lyndale already partners closely with The Smith Family to offer students in need opportunities to reach their full potential through education.
The computers will be made available to families experiencing financial hardship who are assisted by the Lyndale Welfare Program.
Eligible parents can borrow otherwise prohibitively expensive text books, calculators and laptops.
“The laptop donation will ensure Lyndale students can access computers to enhance their range of learning opportunities and increase their engagement with their schooling,” The Smith Family CEO Dr Lisa O’Brien said.
GWF will donate 80 refurbished laptops to four schools in Victoria and western Sydney.
