Inspired to work

By CASEY NEILL

DANDENONG High School students have taken a sideways look at the world of work.
City of Greater Dandenong ran its second Work Inspiration program at the Dandenong Civic Centre on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August.
More than 30 Year 10 students completed hands-on experience and career conversations with adults in the workforce during the career development program, which featured inspirational speakers, activities and multiple workplace tours.
The council worked with the YMCA to provide the alternative to traditional work experience.
“Work Inspirations is able to connect young people and businesses together, enabling our young students of today to become inspired, get exceptional mentoring and the opportunity to explore the world of work,” Mayor Sean O’Reilly said.
