TWO men armed with a cricket bat have robbed a man in Dandenong.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said the 24-year-old victim was walking along David Street about 1.50am on Monday 14 December.
A black ute pulled up beside him as he reached Carroll Avenue and two Caucasian men wearing dark clothing got out, approached him and demanded his belongings.
The victim handed over his bag, and the thieves rummaged through it, handing back items of no value and stealing his phone.
Det Sgt Kirton said the thieves threatened to hit the victim with the bat if he tried to run.
They got back into the ute and were last seen travelling east on Princes Highway.
The ute was described as a black, early 2000s Holden Commodore with a hard cover over tray and broken brake light.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
