KEYSBOROUGH shoppers love their cherries.
Coles supermarket figures from last summer placed its Keysborough store in the top 10 for cherry sales, with shoppers consuming more than 3500 kilograms of the stone fruit.
“This year, we’re estimating to sell almost 25 per cent more cherries in the lead-up to Christmas compared to last year,” Coles Victorian general manager Sarah Hunter said.
Michael Rouget from Koala Cherries said he worked hard year-round to ensure there were enough cherries for Australians to enjoy over Christmas.
