Market offers Easter treat

DANDENONG Market has an Easter treat for shoppers.
While it will close its doors on Good Friday 25 March, it will open from 7am to 4pm on Maundy Thursday 24 March.
The Easter Bunny will stop by to hand out chocolate eggs between 11am and 2pm on Thursday, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March.
A colourful two-metre tall Easter Bunny will be on display throughout the weekend.
Children visiting the market in 2014 each created an Easter egg artwork to attach to the rabbit statue.
A display will teach market visitors about the German Easter egg tree, or osterbaum, Greek Easter bread tsoureki, and why hot cross buns feature crosses.
There’ll be free craft workshops between 11am and 3pm on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Sunday market day will also feature face painting between 11am and 2pm.
