Police seize stolen firearms, drugs

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

A DANDENONG man found by police in a car with false number plates has been charged over a firearm shop burglary.
Police pulled over the Mazda ute at the corner of Keneally and Steven streets, Dandenong, on 3 April at 6.30am.
Inside the ute, the officers found drugs, ammunition, as well as a stolen shot gun and three stolen rifles, Detective Sergeant Jason Owen of Greater Dandenong CIU said.
The guns had been allegedly stolen during a burglary of a Mornington Peninsula firearms shop.
The man was remanded in custody, charged with offences including possession of a drug-of-dependence and firearm theft.
